East Lindsey District Council – Submission for a Small Casino
Further to the Casino Advisory Panel’s call for additional information to supplement original proposal documents, I attach, for your consideration;
- Planning policy issues paper for a casino and leisure complex on the Lincolnshire coast; (PDF Document. File size: 2.2 MB) and;
- Market Development paper. (PDF Document. File size: 142K)
Once again may I reinforce, if awarded, the licence will assist in the regeneration of the East Lindsey Coastal Action Zone and specifically the Skegness-Mablethorpe Coastal Strip. The application is submitted by the District Council and its partners – Lincolnshire County Council, Lincolnshire Tourism, Lincolnshire Enterprise, Lincolnshire Police, Local Town and Parish Councils and East Lindsey Primary Care Trust. It also has the support of the East Midlands Development Agency (EMDA). The application reflects the importance of the initiative to the rejuvenation of the local tourist industry, which despite attracting over 6 million visitors, requires significant external investment in order to remain competitive in the changing national and international market place.
I would also like to take this opportunity to extend our earlier invite to the Panel to view the potential sites at first hand and to provide any additional material that may help the Panel in its evaluation. Should you have any questions relating to our bid, documentation or website (www.lincolnshirecoastalcasino.co.uk), please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Yours sincerely
Nigel Howells
Chief Executive
