THE Casino Advisory Panel, working on behalf of the Government, has short-listed the East Lindsey District as a possible location for a small casino development.
The news has delighted East Lindsey District Council who believes a casino would be of huge benefit to the local economy.
The Council’s Chief Executive, Nigel Howells, said the Council being given the opportunity to grant a casino licence is very exciting: “The whole development would be more than just a casino, it would also provide an entertainment complex and a high quality hotel.
"This is something that would be hugely beneficial for the local community, as it will create employment opportunities and attract more people to the area to help develop the all year round economy on the East Coast," he said.
